Mrs. Meagan Lamon
I graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Early Childhood Education. After college, I moved back to my hometown of Macon, GA, and spent five years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. During that time, I earned my Master's degree in Special Education from Georgia College & State University (GCSU).
In 2013, my husband Cooper and I moved back to Auburn. I started working in special education at Drake Middle School was there until 2024. I’ve always enjoyed working English Learner (EL) students, which has been such a rewarding experience during my time at DMS and lead me to my new role as an ELS teacher.
At home, we have two amazing kids. Lucy is 9 and loves dance, so we spend a lot of time at classes and competitions. Hayes is 7 and plays all kinds of sports, keeping us all busy. We also have two puppies, Murphey and Finley, who we love taking on walks. As a family, we enjoy all the Auburn sporting events and being part of this wonderful community.
