¡Hola! Me llamo Maria Almonacid Amaya. I teach Spanish 1 and 2 at AJHS to 8^th and 9^th graders. I started working at AJHS the fall of 2020. I am from Colombia, and I received my masters from Auburn University in 2020. I am very happy and excited to teach my mother tongue and share all the Latin American heritage. In class, we will cultivate a welcoming, diverse, and respectful environment. I can't wait to meet all of you and together make the world a better place.
