Mrs. Mona Patterson
My name is Mona Patterson. I am the student services and support counselor at Auburn Junior High School. I graduated from Auburn University, Montgomery with a degree in Justice and Public Safety with a concentration in Juvenile Corrections. In 2000, I completed a master’s degree in Elementary Collaborative Special Education and began working as an elementary resource teacher. In 2004, I graduated from Alabama State University with a second master’s degree in School Counseling and transitioned into a school counselor position. I have been a school counselor for 22 years. I obtained my education specialist degree in School Counseling in 2017, and I am a national-certified counselor. I began my dream job at Auburn Junior High School in 2021. I am married and reside in Auburn. I am looking forward to a great year working with students in a counseling capacity.
