Directions for EduTyping
Each week in Computer Specials, you will work on your typing skills for 15-20 minutes. I am going to leave the directions for EduTyping here, so that you can get to them whenever you need to remember how to log in.
Go to the Computer Links page and click on the blue and white "C" icon in the top right corner. This connects you to a website called "Clever". You will click the blue box in the top right corner that says "Login as a student." You should be able to log in with “active directory” by entering your school email address (your username@acsk12.org) and your school password. Not all of these links are ready for you to use quite yet, but I know that EduTyping is ready! Your EduTyping icon is blue and white.
Click on EduTyping. Find Mrs. Parish - Computer. Click "OK". Click on the "Learning to Type" menu from the left side of the screen to access the different introduction activities. Then move to "Letters and Common Symbols" and move through the lessons given. This will take you step by step through the letters and common symbols on the keyboard. We will continue working on this all year!
If you have already completed most (or ALL) of these lessons from last year, there are many other options in the menu on the left side of your screen!Make sure you are working through the lessons in order and practicing all of the keys. Try "Choose Your Own Adventures" or "Your Problem Keys". Or, try the games at the top of the page where it says "Games". There are many different activities for you to complete. Everyone can find a way to improve their typing skills! Find something that you like!
I can see your progress, and I’m so proud of you for practicing your typing each week. Let me know if you have any questions.
