About Music At Ogletree
-
Dear Music Friends,
It is such a privilege for me to serve as your child’s music teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Together, we will explore our world through music in many ways, including listening, composing, singing, dancing, and performing, just to name a few.
Music classes are offered to every student once a week for 50 minutes. All music lessons are in accordance with the Alabama Course of Study for Arts Education and the National Standards for Music Education.
Small groups are arranged during the school day as time and talent permit. Every third, fourth, and fifth-grade student is invited to join Ogletree Singers, after school performing group learning proper vocal technique and exploring age-appropriate literature. Fourth and fifth graders who participate in Ogletree Singers will have the opportunity to audition for the All-star Children’s Theater (A.C.T.) drama club. More details will be sent home in the Fall concerning after-school music clubs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to working with our All-star students.
