I am Phil Wilson, it is a great pleasure for me to be your child's music teacher. The 2024-2025 school year begins my 24th year of teaching with experience at all levels of band and choral music. My philosophy of music education is simply that music is for EVERYONE.  It is my hope that your child shares with you our musical adventures and that you find them just as interesting as we do.

 In 2001, I graduated from Troy State University (renamed Troy University) with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. After graduating, I worked at a high school in South Georgia, near my childhood home, and then made the move to Auburn. I earned a Master of Music Education in 2007 and a Ph.D. from Auburn University in 2020. In 2010, I attained National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Music Education and renewed in 2020.  I love music and working with children. 

A few of my hobbies are singing, reading, and hanging out with friends.
