Our Mission:
The mission of Cary Woods Elementary Library is to provide a program which will enable individuals to become information literate and effective lifelong readers. The program will provide educational and technological opportunities to students and staff in keeping with their needs and abilities. The program will also enable individuals to access, analyze, assimilate, and use information effectively.Lost/Damaged Books:Books that are lost or damaged are subject to a replacement fee. The patron is responsible for the actual cost of the book that was lost or damaged.*Special repayment plans are available on an individual basis.Book Check Out:Kindergarten students are allowed to check out one book at a time. The children may keep the book for two weeks. After the two week time period, the book will be marked "overdue".First grade students are allowed to check out two books at a time. The children may keep the books for two weeks. After the two week time period, the books will be marked "overdue".Second grade students are allowed to check out three books at a time. The children may keep the books for two weeks. After the two week time period, the books will be marked "overdue".
All Cary Woods Elementary School students visit the library with their class on a fixed schedule. Our library also offers a flexible schedule. This means the students are allowed to return, check out or renew library books at any time during the school day.
