I'm so excited about beginning my 17th year teaching in Auburn City Schools. This is my sixth year teaching general music at Yarbrough Elementary School. Every third, fourth, and fifth grade student has music class once a week for fifty minutes.  I also direct the YES Music Makers choir and percussion ensemble that meet after school. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in elementary education from Auburn University.

On a personal note, I've been married to Frank Oprandy for 33 years. Our children are Ella, Jonathan, and his wife Miriam.
