I graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Elementary Education and have a Master's in Reading from Alabama A & M University.  I taught fifth grade in West Point and Savannah, Georgia. In 1986, I returned to Auburn, where I taught fifth grade at J.F. Drake Middle School, then later at Cary Woods Elementary where I taught fifth and third grade.  In 2010, I retired from classroom teaching and am currently enjoying working as the After-School Director at YES.
