    Counseling Center

    The Guidance and Counseling Program is comprehensive and designed to meet the developmental needs of all Auburn High School students. Its purpose is to contribute to the overall success of student learning and planning.

    Our program adheres to both the National Standards for School Counseling Programs and the Alabama Comprehensive State School Counseling Plan.

    The Standards are based on providing success through activities designed to ensure students’ academic, career, and personal/social development.

    The program is delivered through individual counseling, small group counseling, large group guidance, consultation, and coordination.

    The Mission of the Counseling Department is:

    To support and encourage every student to make choices which will promote a positive transition into adulthood.

    To advocate on behalf of all students according to their individual needs and circumstances.

    To encourage and support students as they set and meet goals that reflect high expectations for educational achievement.


    Schedule Change Fees 

     
    AHS charges a Schedule Change Fee of $25.00 after the schedule change period has ended.
     
    *Students requesting a schedule change after the first day of school and only during the first three days of each semester must receive approval from the principal or designated administrator and will pay a schedule change fee per course they request to be changed. Be aware that AHS may not be able to honor the requests due to classes that are at capacity or if a conflict exists between current and required courses and desired courses.

    Proof of Enrollment Requests

    • Students must use their ACS email address and password to access the above form.
    • Requests must be made 24 hours prior to the date/time the student or guardian will pick up the form from AHS Counseling.
    • Forms are valid for use for five business days.
