Welcome to our NEST! My name is Emily Byrd. I LOVE everything about teaching Kindergarten!  It is a great privilege to spend my days cultivating a love of learning... socially, academically, emotionally... in the hearts of each of my students. Building the foundation for all their years of school to come is a responsibility I do not take lightly. 

I graduated from Jacksonville State University, where I met my husband, Daniel Byrd, on the football field where he played. When I am not in the Kindergarten classroom, you can catch me at a Loachapoka football game supporting his team or spending time with my friends, family, and church family. My husband and I love the Auburn and Loachapoka communities, and it is our joy to serve here. 

I am so excited for this school year in Mrs. Byrd's Nest!
