My name is Abby Thomas, and I am overjoyed to be teaching first grade at Dean Road! I grew up in Auburn, Alabama and went to school in Auburn City Schools. I graduated college from Auburn University in December of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and received certification. After graduation, I substitute taught in private and public schools here in Auburn. 

 

This will be my first year of teaching, and it is truly a gift to be back home in the school system that I attended as a student and where my desire to teach was formed. My hope is to create a family-like classroom environment where we love and serve our neighbors, and to help students become life-long learners. I am so excited for our year ahead and to see how we grow!
