CWES Summer Office Hours
Monday - Friday 7am-3pm
The office will be closed from July 4-8-if you have an urgent need during this time, call 887-4940 and leave a message. We will return your call as soon as possible.
Kindergarten and New Student Registration
CWES will host a registration event for incoming kindergarten students and other students who are new to ACS on Thursday, May 5 from 5:30- 7:30 pm in the multipurpose room and parking lot. Parents will complete registration, provide the blue immunization card, birth certificate, and proofs of residency. Parents will also have the opportunity to sign up for PTO, PTO Volunteers, and the After-School Program. Students who are registering are welcome and encouraged to attend. The event will include fun activities for the children to participate in while they are on campus. In addition, we will continue registration between the hours of 10:00am and 1:00 pm on Friday, May 6th. The games and other activities will not be available on this date as school is in session.
We are working with the Auburn Public Safety Department, Auburn Police Department, Auburn Security and our morning duty schedule to address your concerns and the delays in the car line. On average, more than 300 cars drop off some of our 525 CWES Explorers in the mornings. So getting everyone in the building is a challenge. Here is another way we can work together. We hope you can be a part of our solution. Thank you for considering this opportunity and for your patience, support and time.
Morning Parent Patrol Sign Up
The goal of the program is to build community and ensure that every student at CWES has an adult advocate in addition to their homeroom teacher. One who knows their names, says hello in the hall, compliments them when they see them being a good citizen, congratulates them at PTO programs, and encourages them whenever they see them. The group lessons follow a curriculum that focuses on the Alabama State Character Education course of study and make connections to other subjects such as math, science, and reading. All groups are led by a certified teacher and some may have another adult friend who joins the group conversations and participates at the direction of a certified teacher or administrator. The groups will meet for 30 minutes once a month. Each school in Auburn City Schools has been charged with creating a formal, structured program, such as our Cary Connect, addressing the goal of providing advocates for children.
Our next Cary Connect is Friday, March 25th!
Teacher of the Year
