Mr. Dalton Watson
Hello! My name is Dalton Watson. I started teaching at Auburn Junior High School in 2018. I teach Physical Education and Weight Training. I also coach the offensive line for the Varsity Football team at Auburn High School. I graduated from Auburn University in the spring of 2018 with my Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education/Teacher Education. I graduated from Arkansas State Univeristy in August of 2021 with Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.
I have a passion for educating young minds. I believe it is vital that our students have positive thinking role models to teach them. Developing and maintaining healthy exercise and lifestyle habits are very important parts of our students' lives. In our PE class, our students develop flexibility, muscular endurance, cardio endurance and muscular strength. They also learn teamwork skills, sportsmanship, self-discipline, responsibility and respect among many other character traits.
The main reason I love teaching PE is the effect that exercising and eating healthy had on my life. Once I developed those habits, my energy levels steadily rose. I began getting better sleep. I genuinely felt better. I desire to teach my students how to take care of their bodies by exercising and eating healthy so they can experience those same effects I experienced.
