Our focus is on respect and responsibility.  In order to ensure a good education for all, students are expected to

·        Follow school safety rules

·        Respect the opinion and rights of others

·        Take care of school materials

·        Treat others fairly

·        Put forth effort

Third Grade has established a positive behavior incentive program to reward good classroom and individual behaviors.

The following are consequences of not exhibiting respect and responsibility:

       ·        1st offense = verbal warning

·        2nd offense = time-out within the classroom

·        3rd offense = time-out with another teacher…usually 30 minutes…and a note or phone call to parents.

*If misbehavior continues, then a parent conference will be requested and the student will be put on a daily behavior modification checklist that must be signed by the parents and returned each day.

Behaviors that warrant immediate attention are hitting, stealing, abusing school property, showing disrespect to an adult or classmate, and continually choosing not to follow directions.

Severe discipline problems are handled through our principal, Pete Forster, and/or our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Daniel.
