All About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Kim Chenier. I have proudly taught music for twelve years as a band director, choir director, and general music teacher in grades K-12. Entering my 14th year in the teaching profession is exciting for me because I am at YARBROUGH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
I graduated from Mississippi Valley State University with a degree in Music Education and began teaching in my home state of Louisiana. I was led to this area while working on a master's degree from Alabama State University in Music Education. Since that time, my husband and three girls have settled in Auburn leaving family, friends and other relatives in Louisiana and now claim Alabama as "home."
My favorite thing to do, besides teaching and being a mom, is to work on home improvement projects with my husband. I have become a "Jill of all trades" and a "master of none", but it has been a blast.
