Step 1: Choose an Animal

• Form a group of 3.
• Decide on which animal you would like to research.

Step 2: Research your animal.

Find out

1. Where it lives (habitat)
2. What it eats
3. What it looks like
4. What adaptations it has to help it survive in the desert.
5. How it protects itself.

Step 3: Have a group discussion.

Answer the questions about your animal on the worksheet. Be sure to note where you got your answers.

Step 4: Design a PowerPoint Presentation

With your group, create a PowerPoint presentation describing your animal. Each person in the group must help make the presentation. The presentation is already custom- made for you – all you have to do is fill in the blanks!

Step 5: Share your presentation with the class.

Each person must present to the class. Make sure that you have rehearsed your presentation and that each person spends an equal amount of time telling about the animal you chose.
