Task
Oh no! WMR students have just been told that computers are going to be banned at school. That means no more Internet research, using the AVL, looking up books in the RLC, playing Kids College, learning to type, making Power Points, Photo Stories, using the Best Books Blog, and Voice Threads! Can't anything be done?
It's up to the students at WMR to save the computers and to show everyone that they are competent users who know how to safely surf the Internet and use "netiquitte."
To accomplish your goal, use your "travel log" to record your experiences as you visit the websites listed and answer the questions.
When you have gathered all the information, you and your team must determine the "Top 5 Rules for Staying Safe On-Line." You will creatively present your rules in the following ways:
3rd graders: Power Point
4th graders: PodCast
5th graders: Movie
Your finished product will be used to teach everyone at WMR school about Internet safety and hopefully convince the "powers that be" to keep the computers.
