The PSAT is the test given to most 11th graders across the country to determine National Merit Scholarship recipients. This test helps determine areas where students need to focus before taking the SAT. It has a different format from other tests of its type. Auburn City Schools offers the PSAT to all students currently in Algebra or above. It is a great way for students to become familiar with the testing format and material on the test. This will give the students the ability to do very well on the official PSAT when they are juniors. There is a $12 fee for students to take the test and it will be given in October during school. It is recommended that all students participate in the test, but it is by no means mandatory.
