Welcome BOBCATS; (Students & Parents) to 7th grade Social Studies for the 2008-2009 school year!! Our Seventh grade Social Studies program has two very interesting subjects to present to you this year, they are; Geography & Civics. In presenting these courses, I will be using a variety of methods, including cooperative grouping, class discussions, videos, independent study & research, guest speakers, and technology. In addition, we will make very good use of field trips (if possible), music, food, art and costumes.
Parents are invited to share their experiences/or help with resources within each of the topics we will explore in order to provide our class with an enriched and wonderful learning experience in Social Studies. I know that every student will do very well as we work and learn together this year! I am very excited about these subjects and look forward to exploring them with you.
