Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! I am looking forward to an exciting year with your child. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the requirements for my 7^th grade math class this year.

NOTEBOOK

Each student should have a binder and graph paper for math class. ALL math papers will remain in the binder. Students will keep a table of contents for each nine weeks where they will list daily the date, the objective, and the assignment(s). Students are required to take notes that include the explanation of the lesson and examples worked in class. Binders will be checked each periodically to ensure that students are maintaining their binders.

HOMEWORK

Students will have homework Monday night through Thursday night. Holidays are the only exception. Students who do not complete their homework will be required to have a zero sheet filled out and signed by a parent/guardian.

GRADING

Class work 30%

Homework 10%

Tests 60%

PENCILS

Students must use pencils to complete math assignments.
