Safety Rules
1. HORSEPLAY such as playing or running around the room is NOT PERMITTED!
2. Never throw an object to another person.
3. No more than one person per workstation at a time, unless instructed.
4. Report cuts or injuries to the teacher immediately.
5. Report ALL hazardous conditions to the teacher at once. This includes but is not limited to malfunctioning equipment, worn electrical wires and damaged electrical outlets.
6. Do not lean back in chairs.
7. Do not leave file drawers open or open more than one file drawer at a time.
8. Keep aisle and work areas clean and orderly. Place all books and other articles that are not being used under the desk.
9. Put all trash in its place—IN THE TRASH CAN!
10. Remember to RECYCLE.
11. Never eat or drink in the computer lab. Electrical shock may result from spills.
12. Never operate electrical equipment with wet, sticky, or dirty hands.
1. Never use equipment without permission or use equipment improperly.
2. Do not operate machinery until instruction on proper usage has been given.
3. Never touch the heated areas of machinery.
4. Do not attempt to align paper during a print job.
5. Observe all safety precautions listed on the equipment that you use.
6. Never turn off the computer without first shutting down. “It is now safe to turn off your computer” should be present on your computer monitor before the power is turned off.
7. Never store or leave disks near any magnetic device (magnets, computer monitor, gem clips)
8. Handle disks, CD-ROMs, and computer equipment with care.
