Study Guide
This test will be using the Senteo clickers!
You will need to be able to do the following things:
- Locate German-speaking countries on a map in
German.
- Know which countries speak German.
- Recognize and understand the German questions,
Wie heißt du?, Was ist dein Lieblingstag?, and Wann hast du
Geburtstag? , and write appropriate responses.
- Recognize, understand, and tell the difference
between the following German greetings and farewells: Guten Morgen,
Guten Tag, Guten Abend, Grüß dich, Grüß Gott, Auf
Wiedersehen, Tschüs. Tschau, Gute Nacht, bis später, and bis morgen.
- Recognize and understand the days of the week and
months of the year in German.
- Recognize and understand the numbers 0-10 in
German.
- Recognize and understand the following colors in
German: grau, blau, gold, gelb, rot, rosa, grün, schwarz,
weiss, braun, orange, and lila.
- Answer true/false or multiple choice questions
based on the cultural readings. Topics may include but are not limited
to, reunification and the Berlin Wall, the German-speaking countries,
the Rhine River, the Lorelei, German composers, German holidays and
celebrations, and etc.
The test will include the following sections with the
possible types of activities:
Listening: 1. Listen to statements and
determine whether you hear a greeting, a goodbye, a
day or a month.
2.
Answer true/false statements about colors and numbers.
Vocabulary: 1. Choose the word in a row that
does not fit.
2.
Match colors with descriptions of items that are that color.
3.
Match appropriate responses to greetings, goodbyes, and questions.
4.
Match numerals with the words for the numbers 0-10.
Culture: 1. Match the German-speaking
countries (in German) with their location on a map
of Europe.
2. Answer True/False questions
about the cultural readings.
