Welcome to Seventh Grade Exploratory Foreign Language!

 

Course Objectives

In this course students will...

-learn how to communicate basic information about themselves to others in German, Spanish, and French.
-be able to recognize and locate the countries that speak these languages and locate them on a map.
-identify similarities and differences between English and a foreign language.
  -understand the word cognate and be able to identify cognates in each language.
-compare cultural practices and products from the German-, Spanish-, and French-speaking countries to those of America.

-develop an appreciation for learning a foreign language and a desire to continue foreign language study.

-be able to make an educated choice concerning which language they would like to continue studying.
