Thank you for visiting the Dean Road Elementary School website. Dean Road Elementary School is located in Auburn, Alabama… home of Auburn University. WAR EAGLE!   We are one of five elementary schools in the Auburn City School system.  Dean Road houses first through fifth grade. 

This year will be our 50th Birthday Celebration!  Lee County Schools contracted on April 30, 1957, for Dean Road Elementary School to be built at a cost of just under $100,000.  The Auburn City School System was formed in 1962, and the school changed from being in the Lee County School System to the Auburn City School System. At the time of occupancy in September 1957, the design consisted of three buildings with four classrooms in each housing grades 1-6.  Additions were made to the school in 1976, 1983, 1986, 1988 and 2007.

In 50 years we may have changed a lot structurally but we still strive to offer a top notch educational experience. To meet the needs of each and every student at Dean Road we provide art, music, “Venture”, Title One Reading, physical education, flexible library time, counseling and an after school program to support our 21^st century classrooms.
