Edopt-a-Cow Updates:

GDF 211 - "Missy Moo"

Missy Moo's milk production was last measured on September 5, 2006, and she gave 67.5 pounds of milk that day.  That's nearly 8 gallons, or 125 cups of milk she made in one day's time.  Her milk production ranked 39th out of 168 cows.  Since she gave birth to her heifer calf on August 27th, she has given over 843 total pounds of milk, which means she has made more than 34,540 pounds of milk in her lifetime!

Name those Calves!

Over the last few weeks, several new baby heifers have been born and we would like you to help us name some of them!  If you would like to suggest a name for GDF 634 (daughter of GDF 265-Buttercup), GDF 638 (daughter of GDF 211-MissyMoo), or for GDF 643 (daughter of GDF 226-SallyJo), please email your suggestions to webmaster@gilmerdairyfarm.com.  Don't forget to include your name on the email.  We will post the winning suggestions next month.
Teachers, feel free to include suggestions from several students.
