#1     Read and re-read a text several times.  Make sure your child has really understood what they have read by rereading over and over.

#2  Reading a story with expression, will help your child with comprehension and fluency!  Have them change their voice when a new character starts to speak.  It makes reading more enjoyable.

#3  Allow your child to tape record themselves reading.  Once they have heard how they sound; they will now be able to critique their own reading.
