My name is Leigh Mott and I will be your first grade teacher at Dean Road Elementary School this year!  I am so excited about this new school year.  I grew up in Opelika.  I married my husband, Donny Mott in July and we live in Auburn.  I love Auburn and I am so glad to be a part of this wonderful community. I help teach Art Camp with the Auburn Arts Association every summer so if you have an older brother or sister who has been to Art Camp I probably know them!  My hobbies are playing with pets (especially my family’s dog, Calder), art, horseback riding, singing, swing dancing, and sewing. 

I graduated from Auburn University with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I taught two year of third grade at Dixie Elementary and began working at Dean Road last year. This is my second year teaching first grade and I love it!  I’ve always said that inside I am a first grader that never grew up.  We are going to have a great time learning together!
