Dean
Road has so many outstanding classes and we are committed to recognizing these
groups.
For several years now, we have named a Class of the Week.
This year our Class of the Week is called C.H.A.M.P.!
Classes are nominated throughout the week to be C.H.A.M.P..
The winning class is announced by Ms. Greenwood during announcement time
each Friday morning.
Classes may be nominated to be C.H.A.M.P. by any grown-up in the school
who notices the class showing exceptional behavior, recognizes an “extra
effort” by the class as a whole, etc.
The purposes of the
Class of the Week program are to encourage good behavior, reward positive
behavior, strengthen class goal setting, and emphasize good sportsmanship.
The boys and girls love the C.H.A.M.P. program.
Our
goal is for the boys and girls to be rewarded intrinsically for the honor of
Class of the Week.
The winners do receive several treats, however, throughout the week.
Most importantly, a large trophy is placed in the classroom for a week.
Encourage
your child to show good behavior and help his class become the C.H.A.M.P. soon!
