ESL Homework

Mrs. Folmar's ESL homework is usually a "Fold and Say" booklet.  The text is not difficult but introduces a variety of subjects. Some of the books are fiction and some of the books teach a character lesson.  The purpose of this is to develop vocabulary and writing.  I ask that the students reply to the questions in complete sentences.  It is very important to include correct capitalization and punctuation. Based on their language proficiency level, the students are required to write a specific number of sentences.  The greater their language proficiency, the more I expect.  This activity also teaches the students to follow directions.

Please ask your student about their ESL homework.  It will be a great opportunity to work together.  It only takes a few minutes!
