About Our School

     Dean Road Elementary School is located in Auburn, Alabama...home of Auburn University.  It is one of five elementary schools in the Auburn City School System.

     Lee County Schools contracted on April 30, 1957, for Dean Road Elementary School to be built at a cost of just under $100,000.  The Auburn City School System was formed in 1962, and the school changed from being in the Lee County School System to the Auburn City School System. At the time of occupancy in September 1957, the design consisted of three buildings with four classrooms in each housing grades 1-6.  Additions were made to the school in 1976, 1983, 1986, and in 1988.  

At present, the school houses grades 1-5.
