RE: Newly adopted textbooks for public use
The Auburn City School System adopted textbooks in the areas of Foreign Language and Arts Education for the 2007 – 2008 school year. Once again we are placing a copy of the majority of these textbooks in the Auburn City Library. This is a list of our most commonly used student edition textbooks for these two curriculum areas. In addition, a few other textbooks are included because Auburn High School added new classes this year.
As in the past, I have not included newly adopted textbooks for courses in which only a small number of students are taking the class/using the book (Business and Personal Finance; Discovering Drawing; Culinary Essentials; Spanish Level 5; German Level 4 or 5; French Level 5 (IB French); AP Statistics; or Drawing: A Contemporary Approach). Many of these textbooks are only utilized as classroom sets.
This year, the cost of this effort by the Auburn City Schools Board of Education is $1,314.88.
