Our Spring Chorus/Honor Choir musical: Hooked on Classics
On May 5th, our chorus and honor choir, along with several other cast members, presented a musical play in which Professor Step in Time and Her assistant, Melvin, led the audience through several centuries of musical history.
The last week of September we invited the parents to "spy" on our music classes in first grade.

2003-2004
On December 10 and 11, students presented holiday programs at various times.
In November, 5th graders participated in Colonial Day activities, including the Virginia Reel.
2002-2003 SCHOOL YEAR
On Friday, March 7th, the fourth graders participated in a Broadway revue. They sang a few favorite Broadway tunes, and they heard from several of our teachers and parents. Even our principal got in on the act!

On Thursday, March 6th, the fifth graders concluded their study of the Harlem renaissance with a "Live from the Cary Theater" showcase. They worked in groups to create musical acts, from singing, to lip-synching, to improvisation.

The third graders are taking a music trip around the world. They are learning about music, musicians, and instruments from various countries.
Fourth graders are learning some basic guitar skills during the month of January. They will learn to play on single strings and to strum simple chords.
On Friday, November 8th, second graders presented a Veteran's Day program for parents.
