1. Each day, please read and sign your child's behavior and homework log. Help your child with homework.

2. Please give your child a 1-minute timed reading test each day. Your child needs to be reading no less than 110 words per minute at the end of 3rd grade. It would be good if they were reading 20-30 words per min. more than that.

3. Your child has:

                              Book Report Oct. 3

                              Science Research Report Dec. 18

                              Craft Day Dec. 18

                              Social Studies Report March 5

                              Class Play May 21

4. Spelling Tests and Reading Tests are given on Wednesdays. Please help your child prepare.

5. Take Home folders with graded papers and notes from Ms. Darnell are sent home on Wednesdays.  Please help your child correct and understand mistakes on papers. Please read the Parent Note. Return the bottom portion signed and all graded papers signed. Thank YOU!!

6. Homework: assignments are in the behavior/homework log. Have your child do 30 minutes of homework every night. This should include 15 minutes of reading and the other assignment as given in the log.
