Counseling Services Offered
These
lessons will be presented twice a month for first and second grades and once a
month
for third, fourth and fifth grades. The lessons will cover a variety of
areas of importance in
helping students learn about themselves and others in
developing personal and interpersonal
skills.
Small
group counseling is provided for students experiencing similar needs. These may
include
social skills, anger management, academics success, family changes
(moving, separation,
divorce, and death), interpretations of standardized test
peer relationship and others.
Individual
counseling is an important element of the counseling program. The counselors are
available for all students. Students may self-refer or be referred to the
counselors by teachers
and/ or parents. Confidentiality is respected.
