American Revolution Biography Projects
On Friday, February 1, the team turned in independent projects. After reading a biography about an important American Revolutionary Figure, the students created a tri-board scrapbook about that person. It was very exciting to see the culmination of all of our learning coming together. After studying the American Revolution throughout the month of January, they were excited to see how their person affected or contributed to this important period in our history. They spent the morning walking through the tri-board exhibit, peer-scored one project, and left compliments for every member of the team.

PIRATE DAY!
Mrs. Strickland's husband came and taught us how to talk like a pirate (ARRRGH!) and how to use GPS units and latitude/longitude to find our location on earth. We enjoyed orienteering and especially the cold "grog" at the end!

Queens for a Day!
We enjoyed dressing up for our Queen for a Day tea and presentations. We snacked on Elizabethan treats of Shrewsbury Cakes and Bansbury Cakes and shared what we had learned from our readings about Elizabeth I, Isabel of Castilla, and Mary, Queen of Scots.
