Reading/Science:
Our class will take
an expedition and discover the many different ecosystems and their
fascinating characteristics. We
will begin our adventure in the tundra and learn about the plants and
animals that make it their home.
Math: We
will begin our study of multiplication and its relationship with
repeated addition. Literature
activities and vocabulary understanding will begin our study. Social
Studies: Our
students will study immigration through engaging literature activities.
The students’ research and role playing of immigrant children
will help their connection and understanding. Language: We
will review singular and plural rules of nouns and verbs. Word sorts,
patterns and relating them to our everyday lives/spelling activities
will help the students grasp this challenging skill. Thank You! Thank you parents, grandparents and friends for taking the time to come to Biography Day and celebrate our children and their amazing efforts! We enjoyed our time with you and look forward to seeing you at our Poetry Celebration before Winter Break.

This
week for spelling we will learn about 3 important rules that help us
understand singular and plural nouns.
Your child will work on daily activities and apply strategies to
help them. The easy steps we
have worked out are on the back to help them at home too!
On Friday they should be able to spell the singular and apply the
rules for each. We will only
have 10 words so that we are not memorizing, but connecting.
Thank you!
