Theme
A thematic curriculum is an in-depth study of a particular topic, which integrates all subject areas. In a thematic curriculum, children, guided by their own interests, with the teacher as a facilitator, learn more than the basics. Themes will be completed through extensive research, brainstorming, webbing, project work and fact books.
Orange pod's theme for this year is China. We will learn many new and exciting facts about China. In addition to learning facts, we will create China within our classroom and celebrate The Chinese New Year.
