Team Meeting with Coach Robert:

Dear Parents,

   On behalf of the Physical Education Department I want to welcome you and your family to our school.  My name is Robert Baughman and I will be your child’s Physical Education teacher.

   I would like to take this time to share with you some of the things that we do in our program.  PE is more than just recess and playtime; it is also a time for learning and improving.  

   Once the children have gained an understanding of our rules and expectations we begin to learn and develop the basic skills used during physical activity.  We will introduce a variety of locomotor and non-locomotor skills, manipulative skills, and fitness skills.  A more detailed list of these topics can be found on our web site.

STAR Night (Students and Teachers in Academics and Recreation)

During STAR nights, everyone will be encouraged to join in the fun through academics and recreation.  There will be reading, math, and science games.  Also, students will enjoy the hopper balls, jump ropes, playground, and other activities.

  Families may bring a picnic and enjoy being together for dinner.  We will have drinks for sale to quench any thirsts you may work up.  This is a night of family fun and a time to share some of our program with you.  We ask that parents help supervise their children and also participate in the activities.  Family members and friends are welcome to attend!!!
