Sanders’
Scribbles

Can you believe this week
is over already? It
has been a very bus week for us.
Our trip to the Zoo was so much fun.
Thank you to all of the parents who came and helped us
out! Luckily, the
rain waited until lunch time.
If you have any pictures from the zoo, please e-mail them
to me so that I can put it on the web.
SHARED
JOURNAL
This week, we really
worked on the way that we told our stories.
We worked to tell only important details sot that our
stories don’t drag on. This
even became a point brought up in our negotiations!
We are also beginning to self-evaluate our journal
entries. This will
really help the children do their best work and grow as writers.
THEME
With the few days that we had this week, we began
making the covers for our Circus Fact Books.
We also started talking about the Publicity Department
and about ways to advertise our circus.
We looked at some real circus posters and decided that we
would need to make posters to let AEEC know that our circus is
coming in 2007!
SHARED READING
We began the week by reading several books about the
zoo. We made a web
of animals we thought we might see at the Montgomery Zoo.
After our trip, we also made a graph of our favorite
animal that we saw.
The elephants won.
We finished the week with some very funny Halloween
stories.
Center Time
We worked on our Circus Fact Book covers, our
calendar pattern pages and our hamster Power Point presentation!
