Leaving Alabama

After we had completed our study of Alabama, we decided to leave the South and see what else the United States had to offer.  However, we didn't know where we wanted to go.  So, we began to research different regions to find out about the states that were there.  In small groups, the children looked at books, maps and used the internet to learn about their region of the US.  They took notes on what they learned and shared their information with the class.
