At Art Center, the children use a variety of tools and materials to create various works of art.  Our art center has 2 parts, the paint easel and the art counter.

A variety of materials and activities are at science center.  At this center, the children investigate the principals of chemistry, physics and biology.  These friends are mixing different liquids and observing what happens.

At this center, the children make up their own plays and scenarios.  Often, they act out things that have happened in our classroom, or books that we have read.  In addition to puppets, the children can also use musical instruments in their drama productions.

When at this center, children may choose to read books from our classroom library, chants from our chart stand or writing found around the classroom.  Often at this center, children can be found playing school by rereading favorite books and chants with their friends.

Like the reading center, children can always be found rereading old favorites or discovering new stories.

This center is a class favorite.  Friends can always be found working on a project here.  At blocks, buildings, cities, castles and other wonders are made, saved and added to each day.  Sticky notes are placed on work that needs to be saved and finished another day.

Observing fish, investigating rocks under a giant magnifying glass, playing a drum and ukulele from Hawaii are just some of the things that can be done at  the Discovery Center.  

Friends at this center like to play house, doctor's office, store and restaurant.  In fact the possibilities are endless.

We have 2 student computers that are used to play a variety of educational games, publish books or send an e-mail friends and family. 

There are a variety of different puzzles that can be put together at this center.  Friends can choose to work together or alone to complete the puzzles.

All kinds of creations are made at play dough center.  The play dough was made by the class and the children love going to this center. 

There are several different building materials in this center.  While here, friends build towers, cars, buildings, and anything else they can imagine.

Every busy kindergartener needs a snack and this is just the right center for them.  Here, friends can enjoy a snack brought from home or one from our classroom supply.

At writing center, the children become authors as they write books, make cards, notes for their friends, maps and signs.  When they are finished, they show off their work by sharing it with their friends.

Children at this center can choose between commercial and home made games. 

Measuring tools, a variety of manipulatives, math games and children's literature are all in our math center. 

Sometimes there is nothing better than sitting down and listening to a good book.  Children can do just that at the listening center. 

Creating things that turn and move is goal of this center.  These friends have built something that will spin the entire structure just by turning 1 crank.
