Sanders’
Scribbles

We have built and
constructed and made so much progress on Samford Hall.
Check out the pictures on our classroom web page.
You can get to it by going to the AEEC web page and
clicking on classrooms. After
that, just click on my name and take a look.
Centers
We have been working
hard on several projects. In
addition to working on our USA fact books, we have also been
turning the Home Living Center into a Chinese restaurant.
The children are so excited about this.
We have been busy making menus, money, a sign, order pads
and food. Also,
don’t forget about our construction project…Samford Hall.

Reading
Our focus book was From
Head to Toe by Eric Carle.
The children in this story visit a zoo and do the things
they see the animals doing.
For this story, we talked about setting, characters,
questions and some simple sight words that kept appearing on
each page. The children are learning so fast!!!
Theme
We made so much
progress with our theme this week.
Our building is coming along!
We even have some of the walls up!!!
In addition, we made a KWL chart on what we knew and
wanted to know about Samford Hall.
We will be using the
internet and conducting an interview to do our research.
The interview will be done during our upcoming field
trip.

Journals
We are still working
hard on the negotiation process.
The children are doing such a good job of persuading
their friends. They
are able to state reasons for choosing a particular story. We have also been working on the discussion forum so that
they can state their ideas without my interference.
