Sanders’
Scribbles

We had a great field
trip this week. I
want to thank all of my chaperones.
You really helped so much.
It was a busy but fun trip.
Centers
We are so busy in
centers. This week,
we finished the entire bottom section, 1 part of the roof and
began working on the clock tower.
To check on our progress, visit our classroom web site.
To get to it, go to the AEEC’s website and click on
classrooms. From
there, click on my name and enjoy.
Shared
Reading
We read Big Red Barn
by Margaret Wise Brown. With this book, we talked about opposites and synonyms.
We also practiced identifying the sounds that we heard in
some of the words from this story.
To end each Shared
Reading lesson, we also read some of the books that were donated
to our class from the book fair.
Theme
The children have
learned so much about bats. We read several books on bats and watched a video on them.
The children have been listing facts on the web.
They are learning so many interesting things about bats.
Shared
Journals
We were observed
during Shared Journals. The person that watched our Shared Journal lesson this week
was so impressed with the children.
They are doing such a great job sharing their stories,
asking questions and deciding what story should be written about.
You would be amazed at what they are doing.

We
finally got most of the things I purchased with my gift
certificate at the beginning of the year.
Thank you again to who ever gave so much to our class!!
Among other things, we now have musical instruments for the drama
center, gears for the building center and our talking microscope
will be here shortly!

I
think eating lunch with Aubie was a highlight for all of us!
