Mrs. Janey Oakes is the media specialist at the Auburn Early Education Center and has been with Auburn City Schools since 1996.  She holds a B. S. and M.Ed. from Auburn University, and has completed additional graduate course work in educational media at the University of South Alabama. She has received 5 FACES grants to improve the media program.  She was named Graduate Student of the Year at the University of South Alabama in 2003, was a WSFA-TV "Class Act" featured teacher in 2004, and received the Herman Moore LAMP Award for Exceptional Library Service in 2005. In June 2007, she received the Carrie C. Robinson Award for Exceptional Library Media Programs at the annual Alabama Instructional Media Association (AIMA) meeting in Birmingham.

Mrs. Kathy Hicks is the Media Assistant at AEEC.  She has been with Auburn City Schools since 2004.  She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Auburn University, and a M.S. in Elementary Education from Troy University/Dothan.
