Media Center Class Schedule

     All 25 kindergarten classes come to the media center once a week for a story and checking out a library book.  Kindergarten students begin checking out books in September, after they have learned about book care and procedures during media time.  In addition, 14 weekly small groups are planned to include computer activities, book discussions, storytelling and puppets, "lunch bunch" groups, listening center, games associated with literacy, and research projects collaboratively planned between teachers and the media specialist.  Our technology emphasis includes five computers and a  SMARTBoard interactive whiteboard.  Special guest speakers are also a part of our media program.
