Tailgate Day 2007

Tailgate Day is an outdoor field day centered around our community.  Because we have Auburn University here, most of our children are familiar with tailgating.  Our Tailgate Day is full of academic activities as well as tradition.  Look below to see some of our stations.
We learned about the Auburn University Marching Band.
We made Tailgate Day books to record the special events of our day.
We measured toilet paper, rolled a tree, and got to drink Toomer's Lemonade!
We went on a tiger and eagle hunt.  We counted how many tigers and eagles we found, and we compared the amounts.
We had a football training station.  We practiced the obstacle course.
The AHS cheerleaders came and taught some cheers!  We learned to spell orange and blue.
We had a disco dance station.  We got show everyone our moves!
We went to the media center for Gameday books.  Mrs. Oakes read some fun Auburn books to us!
The Band, football players, cheerleaders, and Aubie came for our pep rally!  We were so excited.
After the pep rally, we ate lunch outside and talked about all of the fun things we did.  What a great day!
