Eye-to-eye with the Animals

On November 7, Blue Pod had a special visit from some of the animals at the Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain.  The workers there brought several animals from Africa for us to see and touch!

We got pet the Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches!

The adults showed us how they make their hissing sound.

Next, they brought out 2 tortoises.

We could only touch their backs because they have spurs on their legs.

The biggest animal we saw was the cervil.  It is an African cat.

This cervil is 1 year old.  He is still a baby.
