Students researched in books to find out "Where are the Rainforests of the world?"  Students colored a map of the world to show where the rainforests were located.  Students decided that the rainforest in South America was the largest rainforest in the world.  Students were also introduced to the globe, where we found the continent of South America.  

Students researched various plants that grow in the rainforest and decided which plants that they wanted to make for the classroom's rainforest environment.  Then each student signed up to construct one type of rainforest plant.
