Holiday Program

Deceember 14, 2007

The Southeastern Raptor Center visited AEEC on Thursday, November 1st, 2007.

Raptors are birds that have three things in common:

  1. They have sharp talons for catching prey.

  2. They have sharp beaks for catching prey.

  3. They eat meat.

The screech owl is a nocturnal raptor.

The barred owl is a nocturnal raptor.

This falcon can fly up to 200 miles per hour.

The red-tailed hawk can live in Auburn.

Our favorite raptor was the golden eagle, Nova.

She showed her great wingspan.

Our class had a front row seat to see the raptors.

We appreciate the great people from the Raptor Center!  Thank you for coming!!!
